As pretty as a picture – the lovely Miss Amy Green wearing one of my fascinators at a recent wedding in Castle Leslie.

Enniskerry village has a lovely mix of shops nestled together offering everything from trinkets to treasures, fashion and of course fascinators. One of my ‘village neighbours’ Jenny Turner stocks the most stunning designer brands so needless to say I was delighted when she asked me to make her a hat for a recent wedding.

How incredibly exciting….’Hat’s by Jean’ at my lovely little hat shop in Enniskerry (on the outskirts of Dublin), was on RTE News (Ireland’s National TV station). I was featured as a successful example of a business established by a ‘Senior Entrepreneur’ (50+)…ok I know that a ‘lady’ should never reveal her age, however I’m of the opinion that you’re as young as you feel – which keeps me in my twenties…..!

The very lovely Samantha Libreri came out to my shop with her cameraman and interviewed me about my millinery business. A big thanks to Geraldine Ahern, one of my clients, who came for a fitting and ended up a model.

And to all you potential ’Senior Entrepreneurs’ – don’t think about doing it…do it!
