RTE NEWS http://www.rte.ie/player/#v=1146966&type… (my segment starts at 29.30 on the clip).
How incredibly exciting….’Hat’s by Jean’ at my lovely little hat shop in Enniskerry (on the outskirts of Dublin), was on RTE News (Ireland’s National TV station). I was featured as a successful example of a business established by a ‘Senior Entrepreneur’ (50+)…ok I know that a ‘lady’ should never reveal her age, however I’m of the opinion that you’re as young as you feel – which keeps me in my twenties…..!
The very lovely Samantha Libreri came out to my shop with her cameraman and interviewed me about my millinery business. A big thanks to Geraldine Ahern, one of my clients, who came for a fitting and ended up a model.
Thanks also to everyone who sent me nice messages following the news feature.
And to all you potential ’Senior Entrepreneurs’ – don’t think about doing it…do it!

The full body of this hat cascades over the side of the head with a magnificent wild blooming flower captured in its netting. I wanted to challenge the symmetry of the face with this range. This fascinator creates an eye-catching imbalance between the clean line of the right contour of the face and the left profile which is embellished by the netted flower.
